Having qualified for the quarters, se7en basketball males were even more hungry for success. Even though Hall 10 proved to be a tough nut to crack, the se7en guys never once gave up. Even though we eventually bowed out of the competition with a score of 53-29, at least we came and we fought. It's not the end that matters, but the process.
The game started brightly for hall 7 as hall 10 played a slow game while our guys played with a face pace. In the opening minutes, Hall 7 led the game with 5 points. However, Hall 10 began to adapt to our speed of play and increase their pace too. With their fast pace and accurate shooting, there was no stopping the hall 10 players. This forced our players into committing various necessary fouls. However, hall 10 players were all able to convert the chances due to their pinpoint accurate shooting.
Soon, hall 10 not only caught up with us but slowly began to widen the gap. The different in quality between both sets of players were glaring and se7en basketball team was playing without one of the strongest players. Hall 10 managed to score a lot of points via airballs which was almost impossible to defend against. The score after 2 quarters stood at 25-16 in Hall 10's favour.
Even after many rounds of regrouping and restrategising, Hall 7 could not master enough shots to catch up with the game. No matter what is it, we're sure the team will be back next season - only stronger.
