Intense atmosphere fills the competition hall. Players, representing their respective Hall, focus on their games, trying their very best to win for their Hall. Each player knows that they have a duty to win for their Hall so that they can emerge champion for Othello.
Having won 2 games, Hall 7 could not qualify to enter the quaterfinals.
The first games starts at 1000hrs with Hall 7 vs Hall 6. For this game, our starting players are Adrian Chua, Yeo Wei An, Dexter Li, Leong Tze Hao and Soen Chin Chun. Reserve players are Alison June and Alicia Chia. Despite a fierce fight, our team lost to Hall 6 with a close score of 2:3.
In the 2nd game, Hall 7 meets the defending Othello champion, Hall 9. Although our players persevere throughout each match, displaying their sportsmanship, our team lost to Hall 9 with a score of 0:5.
In the 3rd game, Hall 7 lost to Hall 14 with a score of 1 1/2 : 3 1/2. Despite losing the first 3 games, our players did not give up.
Alas, their efforts were rewarded. Hall 7 beat hall 12 with a stunning victory of 4:1.
In the 4th game, our team won again with a score of 3:2.
In the 6th game, Hall 7 lost to Hall 3 with a score of 2:3.
In the last game, Hall 7 lost to Hall 8 with a score of 1:4.
Even though the Se7en Othello team did not emerge victorious, we would like to salute the team for putting their hearts out there on the playing board and in a display of wits and tactics, the Se7en Othello team will be winner in our hearts.
